Good Morning Monday!

Monday August 31. This weekend I found a couple of ways to, hopefully, help keep me organized. Every morning I shall jot down what is running through my mind - I tend to have a rush of things to do in the mornings and it’s the main reasoning for my cluttered mind and house. Since it’s Monday, I’m also wanting to set up my command center(s). I have a lot of paper’s needing to be sorted through and need to do that this afternoon. I bought this nice Home Finance Bill Organizer from the Dollar Store and need to put it into use but haven’t yet put any bills in the appropriate pockets/months (hence why I need to go through papers)! I’m wanting to write a “Master TO-DO List” but every time I go to start writing EVERYTHING I’d like to do/get done, my mind goes completely blank. What I’m thinking of doing is really putting some thought into my list, then breaking it down into categories, What todo today, What to get done this week, so on and so forth. I will create my list here and come back to it to update and/or add-on. Also, keep in mind, this list is not for the whole year since it’s almost over. I may decide on “rolling over” the things I don’t complete into the next year.

  1. Create a “command center” for all randomness.
  2. Send a letter to both grandmother’s once a month.
  3. Keep in contact with my father - even writing him a letter a month.
  4. Send little nick knacks to my brother, sister and niece.
  5. Take plenty of family pictures. Pictures with our family of 4 (Would like to make nice Christmas cards this year)
  6. Organize top of master closet
  7. Organize Landon’s closet to make room for Eliza’s clothing.
  8. Go through Landon’s clothes and put away all things that are too small.
  9. Get shelving for bathroom.
  10. Buy and put up blinds (the thick kind, not the “cheap” ones that go in apartment complexes) in our room.
  11. Organize blankets in the hall way.
  12. Donate clothing to goodwill, get a tax deduction form as well.
  13. Donate board games. We only have 2 board games that Landon can play and we don’t play the one’s we have.
  14. Buy NEW board games (not necessarily new but updated one’s from yard sales/Habitat/etc.)
  15. Have a family game night designated on the calendar for everyone to see.
  16. Order the Your Baby Can Read program.
  17. Sign up for the PTA at Rimes.
  18. Buy shelving to display all of Paul’s trophies.
  19. Get a new bedroom suite!
  20. Sell/donate all of my high heeled shoes. (I have plenty I don’t even wear! Paul is shorter then me without them on and there pretty much useless!)
  21. Get another clothes closet hanger (like mine on my side) and put on Paul’s side. This will enable more space on the floor.
  22. My goal eventually, have a spacious floor in my closet! It’s packed with everything!
  23. Invest in a labeler.
  24. Read more books.
  25. Crochet Landon a blanket.
  26. Crochet Skye (my soon - to -be nephew/God son) a blanket.
  27. Take a trip to see family in SC.
  28. Visit family in SC every Summer for at the least a month. (Paul doesn’t have to come, but I’d like for Landon, Eliza and I to do this)
  29. Trade/sell the Jeep and get a new vehicle.
  30. Fix Jeep headliner/AC in the meantime.
  31. Invest in a laptop.
  32. Keep in touch with Morgan & Morgan about our daycare case.
  33. Find a small table/shelf to put by our back door for the commend center. Until I can move the entire command center to the kitchen!
  34. Clean out bottom 2 filing cabinet drawers. 1 drawer or half a drawer needs to be turned into a scrap booking drawer.
  35. Work on scrap booking.
  36. Set up savings account for Landon and Eliza.
  37. Set up college funds for Landon and Eliza.
  38. Set up emergency funds.
  39. Fill up a jar of pocket change. Never made it all the way, came close but not yet! We will use the money for our emergency fund or something fun for the family.
  40. Designate a day for pizza night. May be incorporate with Family Game Night.?
  41. Find a home for Paul’s fishing rods and tackle boxes. I’m thinking of the hall closet.
  42. Try to stick with Menu Plan Monday.
  43. Keep up with learning the basics of being frugal.
  44. Plan a camping trip.
  45. Plan ANY trip.
  46. Throw out some magazines. Don’t be afraid!
  47. Blog more.
  48. Live less stressful.
  49. Deal with Trichotillomania. Blog about it.
  50. Keep track of not pulling.
  51. Print pictures from all albums. Picking the worthy ones.
  52. Order pictures from CVS/Walgreens and have them sent to me.
  53. Keep up with business.
  54. Find a DVD rack to put all DVDS in.
  55. Look at calendar the first of every month and write out birthday cards for each month.
  56. Don’t be such a procrastinator.
  57. Take time for me. I’d like to keep up with getting my hair cut every 6-8-10 weeks. Maybe get my nails done or go to the tanning bed once a week! Tanning isn’t that big for me, but at least 30 minutes or so to lay in the sun!
  58. Have a spa day!
  59. Get a new wardrobe. I want more mature clothing.
  60. Take a pole dancing class.
  61. Walk an extra 30 minutes a day. Take the baby in the stroller to pick up Landon.

I have to remember, I’m limited to space at the moment. We have Landon’s room and our room to use as bedrooms/living rooms. All of our friends who come over come to our back door and come in our bedroom. I HATE IT! I hate having people see where we sleep and what not. It’s so very cluttered because we live with Paul’s grandmother, Monie. She has a LOT of stuff and doesn’t want to get rid of any of it (even though she doesn’t need/use it). MIL got a storage building in her backyard and we’re going to be putting all of Monie s things in there. Everything in the hall and everything in her room. See, the In-Laws are building a house and hope to have it finished by Christmas, Monie will be moving in with them and we will have the whole house to ourselves. I will have to make a separate post on that later, I have LOTS I’d like to do to make this space feel like MY home. Like, our command center is in our bedroom. I don’t want it there, I want it in the kitchen where everybody should go in everyday. As soon as we have the house to ourselves, no one will be allowed in our bedroom, we will have a home office and both kids will have their very own room. Needless to say, this year has become quite hectic with a new baby and my new found love for organization! Also, being new business owners brings on a sense of organizing. Paul is quick to leave stuff in places he doesn’t remember. I’d like to eventually have a place for everything.
